Mitsubishi Motors Partner with Israeli Startup Otonomo for Car Applications and Services
According to the commercial agreement Mitsubishi Motors will integrate with the Otonomo data services platform so that its vehicles can share data with third-party services and application providers – such as smart electric vehicle charging, parking, safety, concierge services, preventative maintenance, and mapping.
The Otonomo platform will also enable Mitsubishi Motors to make aggregate connected car data available for applications that benefit society by making smart cities smarter, improving road safety and traffic flow, and reducing congestion and associated emissions.
Founded in 2015 by CEO Ben Volkow and Avner Cohen, Otonomo has created a marketplace that enables car manufacturers, service providers, and app developers to exchange car data.
Otonomo ingests more than 2 billion data points per day from over 18 million global connected vehicles, then reshapes and enriches it, to accelerate time to market for new services that delight drivers.
Based in Tel Aviv with offices in the US, Europe, and Japan Otonomo’s ecosystem of OEMs includes fleets and more than 100 service providers. Among them Microsoft, Daimler AG, as well as partnerships with US car rental company Avis Budget. Now Mitsubishi Motors will join the growing base of automotive OEMs, which

The joint initiative will begin rolling out in the US and Europe throughout 2020.
